About NGOFONIN
The NGO-Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities (NGO-FONIN)" is an umbrella organization of IPOs/IPNGOs run by and for indigenous people. It is registered at the Kathmandu District Administration Office (2061-7-22/2004-4-7) of the Nepal Government under the Social Welfare Act 2034 and is also affiliated to the Social Welfare Council. 

NGO-FONIN aims to ensure the basic rights of indigenous people, who are deprived of their rights and are marginalized from the development process. It also aims, by working together with like-minded organisations, to bring indigenous people and marginalised groups into the mainstream of the development process in order to create a fair and equitable society. 

Vision
Help to create a fair and equitable society by mainstreaming indigenous peoples into the development process. 

Mission
Facilitating marginalized indigenous nationalities in their empowerment process; influencing government authorities and policy makers to formulate appropriate policies and procedures with regard to social development and implementation to create an equitable and just society.
